I know what some of you are thinking…”whatup” with the math doh?! The difference between the two numbers, 537 and 544, is due to a slight discrepancy in the reporting of the number of University of North Carolina (UNC) student-athletes named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Initial Report: 537 Tar Heels were honored.
Updated Report: 544 Tar Heels earned recognition.
The increase of 7 additional student-athletes (from 537 to 544) might be due to:
- Updated data: The second article might have used more recent or updated data, which included additional student-athletes who earned recognition.
- Late additions: A few more student-athletes might have met the eligibility criteria and were added to the list after the initial report.
- Corrections: There could have been an error in the initial count, which was later corrected to reflect the accurate number of 544.
